Response: What surprised you the most about the episode? How do you sell gun control to the people in the United States?
What surprised me in the episode:
How . What the episode showed was a white man meeting a random guy and they traded money for a gun without an ID or any background checks. I'm sure the guy in the documentary wasn't a "sketchy" guy that's gonna shoot the town but you never know. It could have been someone that's planning a mass murder and honestly they could even go to the store and do all the paper work and checks and they still would have bad intentions.
How do you sell gun control to the America:
-Good promotion and advertisement that people will want to pay attention too
-The right people representing the campaign
-strong points
-People speaking out on the trauma it has caused them (empathy)
The charts showed a bunch of gun related rates from how many people own guns, or how 31% of America has the worlds mass shooters which is a lot because America makes up 5% of the worlds population. In all the charts the highest % was always America. So basically American is very dangerous in many ways not many people would think of. Americans have become so adapted to being around guns that it doesn't faze them how dangerous guns are.
I was shocked because I would have though 3rd world countries would be the highest % for gun rates. In 3rd world countries the poor government systems or an unsafe place that would force people to carry guns for protection. It has surprised me how bad America has gotten. How can people see all these mass shootings and not do anything to get to the root of the problem, Gun control. I understand that people hunt or want a gun for self defence but you do not need all these huge guns that are so unnecessary. When will American learn to change.

1. When will America learn to not avoid the gun issues and tackle them for the safety of the community.
2.Why would the shooter shoot from a hotel they would be able to find him so easy
3.Did the shooter have any addiction problems or a mental disorder (what made him think it was ok)
Quebec Religious Neutrality Law
Response: Why do you think this law was enacted? Do you think that the law is discriminatory?
I think this law was enacted because of the majority of roman catholic religion being practiced in Quebec. The law is definitely very discriminatory, It's banning people for fully practicing their culture and belief's.
New Rule! Russian warfare?
Response: Describe how Russia influenced the presidential election. Find a Facebook post that you think is fake or misleading. What is it trying to accomplish? Is it effective?
Russia influenced the presidential election by someone hiring them to post fake news about certain presidential competitors to convince the public one is better than the other or that one of the competitors is a bad choice.
I found an Instagram post that is a picture of Justin Bieber's Instagram account that had one picture saying he has 70 followers and and edited one with 73. The post was telling people to follow Justin's Instagram and another random account and Justin Bieber will follow you. Clearly a scam. The people posting the picture were trying to get people to follow the random account to get more follows. In some cases it can be effective but in my case it was very easy to tell it was fake.
How do you think the provincial government or federal government can help the opioid crisis:
I think all the governments should help and put money together for helping the opioid crisis because its so important to help our society and make it better. If nobody gets help people are gonna keep dying and overdosing. If people can actually have the help needed it can turn their life around for the better and improve our community. So many more people will be able to have a better future and hopefully inspire others to turn it around. They should be putting more money towards educating more doctors and health professionals that can actually help people in need.
Response: What are some of the arguments made by Pollan in regards to a plant based diet. Research Michael Pollan. Tell me about his background and education, as well as other books that he has written.
Some of the arguments Pollan made about plant based diets is how they are beneficial for your health but the ways the animals were treated is very cruel and they are in a way feeding the animals junk food like corn and grains when they should be eating grass so over the years the "healthy food" we consume is becoming processed and rushed.
